Current position. This site runs no advertising, has no affiliate relationships, and accepts no payment for placement or coverage. Nothing on it is sponsored. If that changes, this page will be updated before the first paid link appears.

1. Why this page exists

If a website earns money from what it recommends, readers deserve to know. Regulators require it too: the US Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guides and the UK Competition and Markets Authority both require paid relationships to be disclosed clearly and near the relevant content, not buried in a footer.

This page sets out every commercial relationship affecting what you read here.

2. How this site is funded

gen-qr-code.com is paid for personally by the person who built it. Running costs are very low: the site is static, the fonts and images are served from the same domain, and every QR code is generated in your browser rather than on a server we pay for. There is no company, no funding and no revenue behind it.

We do not charge for any tool, and there is no paid tier.

3. Affiliate links

We do not currently use affiliate links.

If we add them, they will earn us a commission when you buy something after clicking, at no extra cost to you. When that happens we will mark every such link clearly at the point of the link — not only here — and we will say plainly whether a recommendation is affiliate-linked.

Before you enable affiliates: replace the paragraph above with the real arrangement, name the programmes involved, and add the required Amazon Associates wording if you join that programme. Leaving a "we have no affiliate links" statement in place while running them is exactly the misrepresentation these rules exist to prevent.

4. Advertising

We display no advertising and use no advertising networks. No third party pays to appear on this site, and no advertiser has any influence over the guides.

We publish no sponsored posts and accept no payment, free products, or services in exchange for coverage or a favourable mention. Where we name a third-party product or service in a guide, it is because it is relevant to explaining the topic.

6. Editorial independence

Guides are written to be useful to the reader. If we ever recommend a paid product over a free one, it will be because we think it is genuinely better for the reader's situation, and any commercial interest will be stated in that article.

7. Data and monetisation

We do not sell visitor data, and we could not sell the contents of the codes you generate even if we wanted to, because that information never reaches us — the generator runs entirely in your browser. Our privacy policy explains what little we do collect.
