Site information

Last updated 3 September 2026

What this page is. gen-qr-code.com is an independent website, not a registered company. This page sets out who to contact, what we claim, and whose trademarks and licensed work appear here.

1. Who runs this site

gen-qr-code.com is built and maintained independently. There is no company, no investor and no advertising behind it. It costs very little to run because the site is static and every QR code is generated in your own browser rather than on a server we pay for.

2. Contact

Email is the only channel, and it is read: contact@gen-qr-code.com.

Write about anything — a bug, a code that will not scan, a correction to one of the guides, a trademark concern, or a privacy request. We aim to reply within a few days.

3. Responsibility for content

The guides and tool pages on this site are written and maintained by the site operator, reachable at the address above. If something here is wrong, tell us and we will correct it.

4. Complaints

If something on this site has caused you a problem, email contact@gen-qr-code.com and we will try to resolve it directly. As the site is free and takes no payment, there is no transaction to dispute, but we would still rather know when something is wrong than not.

5. Liability for content and links

We are responsible for our own content under general law. We are not obliged to monitor third-party information we transmit or store, and we are not liable for the content of external sites we link to; responsibility for those rests with their operators. If you tell us about an unlawful link we will remove it promptly.

The content and design of this site are protected by copyright. The QR codes you generate are yours, and you may use them freely, including commercially — see our terms of service. Ownership of the third-party marks referenced below rests with their owners.

7. Trademarks and licensing

QR Code

QR Code® is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED in Japan, the United States, Australia, the European Union and other territories. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to DENSO WAVE.

The trademark covers the words "QR Code" only, not the code pattern itself. The underlying specification is published as ISO/IEC 18004 and JIS X 0510 and is free for anyone to implement; DENSO WAVE has chosen not to enforce its patents on standardised codes, and the principal patents have in any case expired.

Third-party names used on this site

The generators on this site are named after the services they produce codes for. Those names are used descriptively, to say what each tool does. They do not indicate any partnership, sponsorship or endorsement, and we use no third-party logos.

Fonts

The typefaces on this site, GQC Sans and GQC Mono, are subset derivatives of IBM Plex Sans and IBM Plex Mono, Copyright 2017 IBM Corp., licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. They have been renamed because the licence reserves the name "Plex" for the original. Details are in /fonts/README.txt.
